Próspero del Carmen Guzmán Soto, de nombre político "Víctor" y "El Grande", fue miembro del Destacamento Toqui Lautaro tras ingresar clandestinamente al país en el marco de la Operación Retorno.
Obrero maderero, vivió gran parte de su infancia y juventud en Neltume, comuna de Panguipulli, donde compartió una fuerte amistad y posterior militancia con Juan Ángel Ojeda Aguayo. Ambos se criaron y crecieron en las montañas de Valdivia, además de vivir la cárcel y el exilio en Holanda.
Cumplió diversas tareas dentro del Destacamento Toqui Lautaro hasta que es asesinado por un destacamento de ejercito, comandado por Rosauro Martínez Labbé, en Remeco Alto el 20 de septiembre de 1981 junto a sus compañeros Patricio Alejandro Calfuquir Henríquez, “Pedro” y José Eugenio Monsalve Sandoval, “Camilo”.
